Dr. Abhishek Mitra serves as Senior Consultant and Head of Gastrointestinal and HPB Cancer Surgery in the Department of Surgical Oncology at Paras Hospital, Gurgaon. Renowned for his clinical expertise, he specializes in gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, minimally invasive (laparoscopic), and oncologic surgeries.

He has been trained at some of India’s most prestigious institutions, including Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, equipping him with advanced skills in complex cancer care. He is also distinguished as the first and only gastrointestinal surgeon in North India to hold a certified fellowship in Gastrointestinal and HPB Oncology.

With over 15 years of surgical experience, Dr. Mitra is adept at performing both open and cutting-edge laparoscopic procedures. His clinical focus includes the comprehensive management of cancers and disorders involving the esophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, colon, and rectum.
